VPN determination is primarily based on: 1) IP belongs to known datacenter or cloud provider ranges; 2) ASN belongs to hosting providers rather than residential broadband; 3) IP geolocation doesn't match ASN registration location; 4) DNS query results inconsistent with IP geolocation. A single dimension may cause false positives — our detection combines multiple indicators for accurate results.
A Clean IP refers to an IP that is not listed on any blacklist, does not belong to datacenter or proxy/VPN networks, and has an ASN belonging to residential broadband or mobile network operators. Clean IPs have the best streaming unlock capabilities, highest email sending reputation, and are least likely to be restricted by various services.
